 Sweets magazine currently accepts any unsolicited story, recipe(s), food finds, features or anything that Sweets-lovers might find interesting. Everyone has a favorite recipe they love to serve and what better way then to have a national audience taste your treats.

Things we know:
#1 we want stories and recipes with photos,
#2 we don't need writers; we want Sweets lovers that can write.

If you have anything you would like to send, please do. Sweets magazine can only be complete when readers get involved.Tell us your favorite chocolate cake recipe, your favorite place to find sweets, a great hidden sweet secret, nostalgic candy, historical candy facts, sweets festivals or events, or any other sweet little tidbit.

Professional Writers
Sweets magazine is not actively looking for professional writers; we want Sweets lovers that can write. Sweets magazine on occasion will purchase a feature article or assign a subject matter/event to a staff approved writer.

Currently we are looking for:

  • Celebrity and Famous Persons Features
  • International/Domestic Factory tours.
  • Coverage of the 2006 World Pastry Challenge (must have attended one in the past)
  • Unique Wedding Cakes Features
  • Unique International Desserts
  • Vintage/Old Time/Retro Treats

To become an approved staff writer we will require a sample of your writing works (epicurean articles please). Please allow 10-14 days for a response.

If you have a feature currently in our 'looking for' list or another feature you feel would be of interest please provide us an overview of:
#1 the feature's subject matter (must include the number of words)
#2 the number, size and format of accompanying photos.

The Sweets editorial staff will reply with our interest to purchasing for publication. Our payment rates are based on the word count and the number and quality of accompanying photographs. (Please allow 10-14 days for a reply).
